Signed Cork jersey worn by Niall McCarthy to be won

Niall McCarthy, man-of-the-match for Cork in their recent Munster SHC semi-final win over Limerick, has had one of his match-worn jerseys signed by the 2010 Cork panel and he has kindly donated it to us to raise funds for Haiti.

The shirt will be raffled off at Scally's Super Valu in Blackrock later this week. You can buy a ticket there on Thursday and Friday, the 8th and 9th of July. Tickets can also be purchased online by logging on to http://www.mycharity.ie/events/helpustohelphaiti and clicking on "Sponsor Me Now" on the left-hand side of the page (be sure to leave your name and contact details in the comments section when making payment).

Tickets cost €2 each or three for €5. The draw will be made on Friday evening and details of the winner will be posted here afterwards.

Fundraising update!

With about seven weeks to go until our deadline we're currently just over the halfway mark for our target of €9,000. With a signed jersey raffle (details above) and bag-packing at Dunnes Stores in Carrigaline to come over the next couple of weeks, we'll hopefully be close to the finish line by the end of this month.

Thanks for all your generosity and if you wish to donate, the details are at the top of the page!

€250 up for grabs in our FIFA World Cup 2010 competition!

As part of our Haiti fundraising we've set up a FIFA World Cup 2010 buster, with €250 in prize money up for grabs.

The way it works is that there'll be 32 entrants, to reflect the 32 teams at the World Cup, and entry fee is €20. Each person will then be allocated a team after we carry out the draw.

The person with the eventual winning team will receive €200, but there'll also be €50 for the runner-up. To enter, register your interest by sending an e-mail at pauldollery@gmail.com!

The remainder of the cash raised will go towards our Haiti fundraising.

Donate by laser or credit card!

I keep forgetting to mention that you can also donate to our Haiti fundraising by laser or credit card on MyCharity.ie!

Just log on to www.mycharity.ie/events/helpustohelphaiti and click on the 'Sponsor Me Now' button on the left hand side.

Thanks a million!
